The outer body is made out of 1 1/4 PVC pipe and fittings so it can be installed by itself or in parallel with an existing submersible pump in case you lose power. The pump handle, risers and piston are made from very strong Schedule 80 and 40 PVC for ultimate longevity. The Foot Valve is a unique patented design which allows for greater flow characteristics than many other competitive valves.
